Advanced International Studies (AIS)
The AIS Pathway requires learners to complete 26 credits. The credits come from AS and/or A Level Courses taken at Orion High School. Learners in the Pathway are eligible to register for examinations, as an Independent learner. The Orion High School AIS Pathway is not coordinated with a particular assessment, but we have consulted the Cambridge syllabi as a starting point for AS and A Level Topics. Learners in this Pathway may also choose to take Advanced Placement Courses at Orion High School; however, AP Examinations may not be available in some International Locations. It will typically take a learner 10-12 months to complete 6 credits, which constitute a particular grade level, such as 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. At the culmination of 26 credits, the Learner will graduate with an Orion High School Diploma, and will ahve also qualified for Distinguished Level of Achievement, because of the rigor of the course work.
Learners graduating with the 26 credits required in the AIS curriculum will also qualify as Distinguished Achievement Graduates.
