A voice calls that breakfast is ready, Mr. Campbell quickly grabs his meal and tells Sam that he loves her. Whith the shut of a door, Mr.Campbell leaves and Sam is left alone. Sam gets her eggs and begins her work.

Later that day, Sam decides to take a break walks to her room. On her way she noticed some of the rosebushes moving outside the hallway window, and quietly snuck over to go investigate. As she slowly walked towards the bush she noticed familiar looking hoof sticking out. “That looks like the same one from the news yesterday,” Sam thought. She crept closer and closer to the window, her heart racing at the thought of what laid in the rosebush. Her mind raced. Fear began to slow her steps. She approached the bush and began to reach her hand out to reveal what laid beyond it then suddenly a girl jumped out. Sam was stunned, for the strange girl manage to jump 6 feet way from her, landing in a fighting position. “Oh my God!,” Sam screamed as she looked at the girl's abnormal anatomy became apparent to Sam. Above the stranger's waist was a of a normal human being, but below was a goat-like. She had straight, dark hair, deep brown eyes, and tanned skin. Her body was extremely skinny and the hair of her legs were a soft brown. “What are you looking at?” The goat girl asked. “Nothing it’s just-”

“What my legs?” The goat girl says threateningly. “Well yeah, they're goat legs and the top of you is...,” Sam replied shockingly. “Oh, what a surprised as if I didn’t know that!” The goat girl said sarcastically, “Why else would I be hiding?” The goat girl crossed her arms. Sam frowned and ignored her sarcastic remarks “So you were born with them correct?”. “Yeah, why?” The goat girl asked suspiciously still remain in a fighting stance. “Well…” As Sam lifted her sleeves showing her scales and webbed elbows. “What?” The goat girl said in amazement. “Yeah I have scales like a fish like you have goat legs. I’m different, just like you,” Sam said with a welcoming smile. “I’m on your side,” Sam said in reassurance. The girl's shoulders dropped and her body relaxed “Oh. I’m sorry for being rude, I was scared.”. “All is good, I understand, what’s your name?” Sam asked. “Emily, Emily Flores ” she said in a now very friendly tone. “My name is Samantha Campbell, but you can call me Sam for short,” Sam bowed.

“So, are you hiding from Strike-labs too?” Emily asked. “Well, this is actually my house, but yes, my dad actually took me to homeschool so he could hide me,” Sam said. “Well at least you have a home,” Emily looked to the ground. “Why? What happened?” Sam asked. “My Dad was at work again, I had to get some food for my baby siblings, and our Dad didn’t have any money for us to order so I had to go to the grocery store to get some food, but I got caught and when my dad found out he kicked me out because he didn’t want to get involved,” Emily explained. Sam's face tightened “I’m so sorry Emily...you can live in my house if you'd like,”. “No, I don’t want to be trouble,” Emily said as she backed away slightly. “No, no, it’s okay, my dad is at work now. We won’t get caught,” Sam reassured her. “Are you sure?” Emily asked in caution. “Yes, it’s no problem,” Sam smiled and held her hand out, “Come inside and I'll help you settle in,”. “Thank you so much,” Emily took Sam's hand. “It’s my pleasure, especially now I have found somebody like me,”.
